CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
ICTs for improving Patients Rehabilitation Research Techniques
(PervasiveHealth 2013 Workshop)

Venice, Italy, 5 May, 2013

hola

SCOPE

Over the past few years there has been increasing interest in the application of Virtual Reality and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the field of rehabilitation with clinical results that demonstrate their potential. Virtual Reality has been increasingly used in physical rehabilitation to provide individualized treatments, facilitate learning and motivation, and provide patients with pleasant and enjoyable homework exercises. This is can be done, for example, by applying the use of Nintendo Wii Balance Board, low-cost visual biofeedback systems and the implementation of programs for improving the patients balance.

This workshop invites authors to submit contributions on concepts of Virtual Rehabilitation theories, development, applications, techniques or environments where interaction design plays a central role by improving the rehabilitation process at all levels.

Go to the 7th International Conference on Pervasive Computing Technologies for Healthcare (PervasiveHealth).

TOPICS OF INTEREST

Key issues in this workshop will focus on (but are not limited to):

  • Virtual and enhanced environments
  • Motor rehabilitation
